A new version of AxioWorks SQList is out today!
We have been really busy for the past few months, but here we are with a brand new release of AxioWorks SQList! Version 7, a major one.
Let’s see what cool new features come with it…
AxioWorks SQList continuously export SharePoint lists and libraries as normalised SQL Server tables, making live SharePoint data available to reporting tools like Power BI, Crystal Reports, or SSRS.
I want this column, I don’t want that one!
Oh yes, ladies and gentlemen, the long awaited Column Selector has finally arrived!
With this new version you can (at long last!) pick and choose exactly the SharePoint list’s columns you want to export. No more comma delimited filters, looking for Internal names in URLs, or wondering which column name is duplicate. Simply open the Column Selector and selected exactly the columns you want. And if you don’t like their names, go ahead and rename them!
Where can I see whether my list is being replicated?
Now, that’s a question we are asked a lot! And the only answer we have been able give is “well….check the event log and try to figure it out”. Not anymore!
Let us introduce the Service Monitor dashboard! A new panel where you can see which list is being replicated at any given time and follow its progress. It is an incredibly useful feature and much fun to watch too, with all those progress bars and lists moving up and down.
SQList: Unlimited access to unlimited SharePoint sites
We have removed the limit to the number of sites you can export! No more 50 sites, 100 sites, go ahead and export as many as you want. But don’t forget that “with unlimited sites come great responsibilities”: the total number of lists you export from across all sites still affects the performance of SQList.
The removal of site limits gave us also the chance to do some cleaning up: we have discontinued SQList Professional and renamed SQList Professional Plus to simply “SQList”. Plain and simple.
Finally, a few things hardly worth mentioning:
- we improved the way SQList handles replications to multiple databases;
- we added an additional authentication type to SQL Server database connections.
